One Year After The August Flood, Baton Rouge Louisiana- Becky Lemoine.
ASCENSION PARISH COFFEE TALK #23 Part 1 of 4
In August of 2016, the state of Louisiana was hit by an unnamed storm that dumped over 22 inches of water over the lower part of the state. The amount of water in this area caused many homes to see recorded flooding through out the areas of E. Baton Rouge, Ascension, and Livingston Parishes. Although many others were affected I have only documented these 3 parishes in my videos of the flood a year later.
With the help of my friend Sondra Richard we went to these 3 hardest hit areas and interviewed the people, she has become acquainted with due to this event. Sondra was a sounding board and advocate for flood victim’s not just during the event, she has continued to keep her followers informed when any new information has come out using Facebook as her platform.
